Invisalign® Clear Aligners

We are proud to offer a popular alternative to traditional metal braces: Invisalign® clear aligners!

Invisalign clear aligners are made of an almost invisible polyurethane plastic. These trays are completely removable  for important social occasions, eating, and tooth-brushing and flossing your teeth. This is a great asset, but you must be sure you’re following strict protocols for the proper results!

Invisalign May Provide:

  • Improved Oral Hygiene — Brush, floss, and maintain good oral habits with ease!
  • A Discreet Look — Practically invisible
  • More Dietary Choices — No need to modify your diet or avoid certain foods
  • Comfort — As comfortable as they are good looking!
  • Teeth-Grinding Protection — Dual functionality as thin night guards to fight against grinding and clenching while you sleep!

Clear aligner technology has just gotten better and better over the years – but may not be for everyone. We’ll discuss your specific needs in detail to determine whether clear aligners or metal braces will be best for you.

How Invisalign Works

Invisalign aligners apply carefully controlled forces to teeth to move them into a better position.

A plan is made, via a computer, to plan the best possible alignment for your unique smile. Over several stages, Invisalign will manufacture two plastic mouth “trays” or “aligners,” for your bottom and top rows of teeth. The first set is worn for about 2 weeks, 20 hours a day.  Then you’ll move on to the next set, and the next, and the next – until the alignment is complete.

Special “eruption tabs” hold the appropriate amount of space open for molars that have not fully grown in. Invisalign for teens also comes with “compliance indicators” built into the aligner material, which fade with wear. This allows parents, dentists, and the teens themselves, to make sure the trays are being worn as prescribed. Treatment with Invisalign can only be successful if this is the case.

Caring for Your Teeth During Invisalign Treatment

These trays can easily be cleaned due to the fact that they can be removed at will. Just like your teeth, your aligners will have to be cleaned regularly; you can do this by brushing them and then rinsing them with lukewarm water.

Don’t forget, the importance of retaining your post-treatment results is exactly the same as if you used metal braces to achieve your end result. You’ll want to be sure to wear your retainer(s) exactly as prescribed after your treatment is completed to protect your investment in a beautiful new smile.
